Aimed at policy market, The 4th FSMP Industry Development Conference - Rules, Regulations and Application Exchange Symposium is on the way


With the progress and development of society, clinical nutrition has gradually become a hot issue. Researches have shown that scientific and reasonable food with nutritional support has a positive effect on shortening hospitalization time, preventing disease deterioration and reducing mortality. More and more doctors have begun to pay attention to the role of clinical nutrition in the treatment of diseases. 

Formulated food for special medical purposes has formed a complete industrial system in developed European countries and the United States. The world consumes about RMB 56-64 billion worth of formulated food for special medical purposes every year, and the market increases by 6% annually. The annual consumption in Europe and the United States accounts for a large proportion of the world, about RMB 40-50 billion, with a growth rate of 4.5%. The market size of Japan and South Korea is about RMB 15-22 billion, with a growth rate of 4.8%. Consumption in developed European countries and the United States has developed at a high speed based on its existing foundation. China's market of formulated food for special medical purposes is just in the beginning phase, with a total amount of about RMB 600 million, which has great potential for development.
